EXTREMELY difficult to twist the mechanism to unlock. If you have nails, forget it! If you have large fingers, forget it! I don't know who they had in mind with this locking mechanism.
Not worth the money. Hard to twist the unlock feature
Nite Ize S-Biner Microlock
Super easy to use Nite Ize S-Biner Microlock. I rarely have to take this off the KeySmart, so not sure how the plastic lock piece will hold up over time. It is most definitely a necessity if you have bulky keys that won't fit or something that has to be removed sometimes. Price is comparable to other sources.
Review of quick disconnect
So-so, makes it too big with another key
I order two - for the buy two, get one free deal. I added a quick connect to my order... I was told because the third one that I ordered was the pink one and it was out of stock that I would have to go back on and purchase a third one and they would refund me. I chose not to do that and missed out on the deal. the ones I did receive are good, except that you have to keep the can opener on it if you want to attach your car key. When you pull those keys out the can opener comes out half way. Irritating. Nope, wouldn't recommend it.
It is strong and reliable
The only problem I have with this item and why I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts is that it is extremely difficult to get items on and off of this hook. I mean, I don’t need to worry about losing anything but it is definitely not a “quick” disconnect. The clasps are way stronger than they need to be.
I have to now disassemble the entire assembly because of the poor assembly instructions
